Today is day 9 of the 10-day blog challenge, here is the task Natalie Sisson gave us:

Day 9 Challenge: Imagine you are on a long holiday in Portugal (or wherever your dream destination is). There are castles to explore, secret bars to discover, and sunny beaches to laze around on. In today’s post, I want you to write about how you will balance your adventure and work while you are away on this holiday.

In my case, I want to be free from a location because I love to work from a nature-based area. I am not a city person, I like to see lots of green, hear birds and see wildlife and my adopted animals.

Occasionally I like to make a city trip for a couple of days just to walk around and change the view. I live close to the beach in an area that is known as a holiday destination.

Because I lived out of a suitcase many years I love now that I can do staycations. A balanced day at work and doing the freedom lifestyle for me is to wake up and do a quick meditation while still in bed. Go into my office and do the gratitude exercise and write in my journal or a blog. With some yoga time permitting otherwise straight into my first zoom meeting.

I love to do these online healings one on one and in a group, they leave me energised. Around ten am I might head off to the beach or go into a small country town to have a cup of tea. When possible I take the dogs with me, they love walking on the beach. In the afternoon I read or do more work from my office and in the evening I do my calls and follow courses. I balance by working before; ten am and after 3 pm. I like to have the middle of the day free to sit and play with my goats, make drawings or do whatever I feel like that day.

Some days I do not get out of the office, and that is ok too. I do not see my work as work I see it as service. Always in service.
How do you balance work and life?
